About cookies

Under the Electronic Communications Act which came into force on 1 July 2011, should everyone who visits a website with cookies access information about that the website contains cookies and the purpose of the use of cookies.

Cookies are being used at the Swedish Forest Industries Federation’s website www.forestindustries.se. Cookies are small text files stored on the visitor's computer and can be used to follow what the visitor is doing on the website.

There are two types of cookies:
1) A persistent cookie that remains on your computer for a specified period.
2) A session cookie is temporarily stored in the computer memory while the visitor is browsing the website. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.

At forestindustries.se we use cookies to gather search statistics. We do this through Google Analytics. No personal information, such as e-mail or name, are stored. However, we save which pages has been visited and  how often.

If you do not accept the use of cookies, you can turn off cookies in your browser's security settings. You can also set your browser so that you get a question every time a website attempts to place a cookie on your computer. The browser can also delete previously stored cookies.
